When installing or replacing a gas boiler in the UK, a range of regulations and technical standards apply. They cover consumer protection, property protection, health and safety, energy efficiency and the correct commissioning of the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boiler itself is only one part of the job. The flue, gas pipework, heating controls, system water, condensate, safety discharge, access, documentation and certification all matter too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gas appliances, gas pipework and associated gas work must be installed and commissioned safely by a suitably qualified and competent person. Appliances should also be installed in accordance with the manufacturer\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
